can be traced back to the 1950s when the customizing craze as going full
swing. Car modifiers would take their machines and lower them as far as
possible for maximum visual impact. While amongst the regular family cars,
these lowered rides looked aggressive and ultra cool, but they had one
problem: their height. The cars couldn't be driven over anything without
scraping the underneath of the car. Inventive modifiers used the hydraulic
rams off of commercial vehicles to help them raise and lower their cars
as required, thus the current craze of hydraulic cars began. Due to availability,
bargain price and their good looks when dropped to the ground, the Chevy
Impalas became very popular. This one has a full custom paint job, deep
buttoned velour interior and hydraulic rams at each corner with pumps
for each chromed and mounted in the trunk.
