track with their company's needs. By creating a firm base

for your resume, you control the manner in which your

qualifications and capabilities are interpreted. Show em-

ployers that you truly know what you would like to do; you

are, after all, seeking a job that will fit your career future.

• Experience/Work History: Employers' names, employ-

ment dates, position held, responsibilities, achievements/

contributions, and special skills/abilities. This is your place

to shine, to show how the patterns of the past will benefit

an employer's future. This area clearly communicates your

strengths to employers by presenting your major accom-

plishments. Use numbers and percentages to demonstrate

realized achievements. Highlight your special awards and

recognition so prospective employers will realize how you

stand out from the crowd.

• Educational background: Degree, graduation date, in-

stitution, and special highlights/achievements. Special

training courses can also be included in this category, if

related to your objective and skills.
